Charge Coupled Devices by e2v
You must have watched awesome astronomical photos of Mars and Mercury, close-up movies of the Sun, and the extraordinary cosmic vistas from Hubble and amazed at Nature's world unseen by naked eye. These wonderful compositions have only been made possible by charge-coupled devices (CCDs), manufactured by e2v, England. These special devices turn the light into electronic signals, which are processed and transmitted to ground stations for processing and generation of digital pictures as seen on computer.
