Pakistan Post on behalf of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority issued a stamp on 19 January 2011 with a face value of Rs. 8, to celebrate the 100 Million Cellular Subscribers Celebrations. It may be added here that the use of cellular telephones for its easy connectivity, cheap rates and easy availability has made it more popular than the land line connections in the country.
Cellular telephone coverage is now available in almost whole of Pakistan, allowing people to be connected to each other in seconds.
